Mother Nature has made this spring a challenge, and as we creep through June, there are many guys with a lot of acres to cover yet. Southern Ohio got moisture on Wednesday. We have remained fairly dry in Coldwater so far. Right now we have all hands on deck delivering applicators and getting them up and running for guys to use in the next couple of weeks. Today I will be traveling to Muncie, IN in the morning and then to Payne OH and Kenton, OH to get applicators going. This J&M 6026 is getting refueled in Southern Indiana this week. Most corn down there was around 12" tall on Tuesday and growing fast
Fertilizer and Cover Crop at the Same Time
This option is gaining steam, and our S2S unit is leading the charge. The S2S is a unit we designed that allows a grower to successfully seed and grow cover crops into standing corn. The secret is the seed to soil contact that is a result of the 4 cutting blades followed by the rolling packer that firms the seed into the soil. This customer is taking it a step further and is using our Triple Threat fertilizer option to band nutrients at the base of the plant. We are excited to see this J&M applicator hit the field in north central Ohio next week.
