The ground sure is frozen now. We have had some nasty wind and cold temps in the area this week, but we have been hard at work in the warm shop. A lot of projects going on this time of year: welding, fabricating and starting new projects for spring and summer. We have a semi tender trailer to build, several Y drop toolbars, and some other projects. This time of year we hunker down and get to work inside on all of these projects. Parts sales have kept us busy lately with the sales we ran last month from the field day event. New Salford blades, seed disk openers and closing wheels have been getting shipped across the country. Fertilizer spreaders and Salford tillage tools have been hot items the past two weeks as we have a few of each to get delivered to Illinois, Pennsylvania, and southern Ohio. Ohio deer gun season is in full swing through Sunday, so you know where you can find Cody and Adam!

Making Planters Great Again
This week we have been busy working on a couple of planters in the shop. One is an 8 row Kinze 2000 Series and the other is a Case IH 2150 16 row. Both are getting new row cleaners added to them, and both are getting some fertilizer placement makeovers. The Kinze got new seed disc openers, gauge wheel arm bushing kits, closing wheel tail piece bushing kits, and a few other changes. Though in the grand scheme of things the changes are minor, they will collectively make a huge difference in planter performance, efficiency, ability to plant in a wider variety of conditions, and ease of use.
