This week was a big week for us in the Deutz world, training yesterday and today we have a ride and drive event for anyone to come get familiar with a Deutz Fahr tractor that may fit their needs. That event will be from 11-1, and lunch is provided for those interested. Yesterday I traveled to Nova for a field day covering all things cover crops, nutrient placement and everything in between. We got a nice shot of rain last night, though it did bring some wind with it. I believe we received near 4/10" around 8:00 PM.

The Salford 2200 With Shanks, As versatile As It Gets
If you were at the field day, you saw the 2200 running with the seeder on it, and it seemed to be the most talked about tool there after we ran it. Remember we did seed that wheat with that tool using the Valmar 4056 seeder on it at a rate of 135 total lbs and got some really good wheat off of that. What the shanks add to the mix is very impressive, a tool that with the push of a hydraulic lever can now to tillage up to 8" of depth. This is handy on end rows, high traffic areas, or anywhere water may tend to lay. Here are a few videos we have done of this tool.

Our guys pulled off some magic for me this week. This bar was sold Tuesday and was in hundreds of pieces. We made this bar a priority, and it might be running yet this weekend!
