The rain has held off in most of the area for this week making way for a beautiful week to get corn and beans out of the fields and for us, tillage demos. With a lot of corn in the area testing rather wet, this is a great opportunity for corn to dry down a little bit and harvest without mudding up the fields. This year and every year, there seems to be more and more residue to manage and that is where these Salford tools come into play. The 5200 does a great job of burying residue but does require a second pass. Tools like the VRT can sometimes get it done in a single pass. This week our shop was busy with several projects, building a 30' Salford 1200 VT tool for delivery, getting some tractors serviced, and much more. Today we head west to service a Valmar seeder that a customer is struggling with.
