Automated Row-Unit Pressure Control
The art of strip till is being able to run in the widest range of conditions possible. If the conditions are perfect in the fall, any product will work. If the conditions are perfect in the spring, you would rather be planting. The coulter only design of the Pluribus row unit enables it to run in many conditions, but it is the row by row hydraulic control of the Pluribus V that perfects that ability. With coulter type strip till units maintaining constant depth is the key. That is why the Reflex down force system with the IAS Intelligent Uplift control has become the standard in coulter type strip till. You pull into the field and the headlands are hard as rock. The system applies 500 lbs of positive down pressure. You go down a hill into a low spot and the system automatically adds uplift all the way to the point where you are carrying the row across the field. This avoids plugging and excessive mud buildup.
Easy Tool-Free Depth Adjustment
A simple acme screw adjust system lets you quickly, and easily set depth on walking tandem gauge wheels. A load cell is located in the stop on the tandem, and gives feedback to the microcontroller that is regulating the hydraulic suspension system. A bracket runs up from the stop to support the load cell cable, and it doubles as a depth indicator by pointing to the yellow graduations marked out on the depth adjustment mount.
In-Cab Row Cleaner Control
Row crop residue varies as you move through the field. The Pluribus V gives you complete, immediate in-cab control over your integral GFX hydraulic, floating row cleaners.
- FurrowTechnik now allows you to hydraulically shake the row cleaners if residue builds up between the rows with a press of one button
- Set up presets in FurrowTechnik for different field conditions. Switch back and forth with a single button press.
Gauge Wheel
Heavy-duty rubber wheel and hub. The gauge wheel is equipped with the Dawn Swirl finishing tool. Alternating steel and plastic tines aggressively chop at the soil as it leaves the central coulters. It further crumbles clods, and leaves a 1.5"-2" berm about 8"-10" wide as a seed-bed.
- Plastic helps flex build-up, while the steel tines break apart any clods
- Greaseable hubs keep the tires moving while protecting the bearings
Toothed Wheel Alternative
Alternative to the standard wheels, we offer a toothed wheel with lateral pulverizers.
- Designed to chip away at side wall compaction
- Work similar to Dawn Curvetine, effectively breaks down clods
Pluribus V Configurations
The right two rows have the metal basket wheel and the left rows have the rubber wheels with the swirls.
The metal basket wheels have teeth that scarf the edge of the strip where the tilled area meets the untilled area.
The metal wheels tend to be more effective at breaking up clods in very heavy clay soil types
Additional Clearance for Wet Mud
The Pluribus V features increased clearance for mud flow
- 3x4 tubes and rear coulter and gauge wheel assembly is removeable
- The critical area right behind the trailing edge of the lead coulter has also been redesigned to allow for better soil flow in wet conditions
