The cold weather sure has set in, we had a dusting of snow here yesterday morning. Fields are getting more moisture, and fall field work is likely over for the most part. For us, we are starting to get busy in the shop tackling projects for spring: planter upgrades, Y drop toolbar builds, farm show prep, and revamping some used trade ins. We have been selling a lot of seed disk openers, closing wheels, Yetter Devastators, and row cleaners as pages turn from harvest to planting. We have had an uptick in side dresser interest in the past couple weeks as well. Prepping for 2025 is in full swing. We have been steadily selling Valmar cover crop seeders as well, two more will leave this week.

Corn Head Seeder Success
This fall we sold and installed several of our Corn Head Seeders on various heads. The goal is to harvest and seed at the same time so post-harvest the seeding is already complete. In the video below, we checked in on a farm in Shelbyville, IN to record the successful seeding. This is a great way to become more efficient and maximize emergence. Even with the dryer fall, this surface applied application works because the combine creates a residue mat to cover the seed.
