We had a big week everywhere you turn: a big install trip on Valmar cover crop seeders, a big week hauling and trucking dozens of loads of equipment to the Ohio Farm Science Review, and a big week in the shop working on the next project. This is a time of year we usually slow down a bit, but not this year. Cover crop seeders have us covered up, and we are hustling to get all of the projects checked off the list. Cody and I spent the last 2 days in Shelbyville, Indiana installing a corn head seeder on a 12 row Deere. See video here. Next Tuesday kicks off the Ohio Farm Science Review. We will be in the far northwest corner, be sure to look us up there. We have seen a lot of fields starting to get harvested in some areas and demos will be firing up again. A Triple Cover Crop Seeder Install Trip
This week we set out on a journey to 3 farms to install Valmar cover crop seeders on their vertical tillage tools. One Case 330, a Great Plains Terra Max 30' and a Great Plains 35' Terra Max. 954 total miles with 3 guys, 37 hours round trip, 120 gallons of diesel. We left early Tuesday morning and were back by 5 PM Wednesday evening. These install trips are something we have been doing for a decade, and we enjoy connecting with farmers across the country to bring them a product and service not found anywhere else.
